Video editing, especially 4K, requires plenty of computer power. Just download it from the Sony website and give it a whirl to see if it works for you. Seems like it has all that the average consumer is going to need for family videos and such. I don't use it for video, but I noticed it has these features. If not, do you have a YouTube link that show how PlayMemories can edit 4k video files? If PlayMemories can edit 4k video and downsize it to 1080p, I'd really like to see how well it does, thanks! That is great to hear, do you have any (even one) 4k video file edited in PlayMemories you would care to share? I'd really like to see one if you would. Sony's free PlayMemories Home actually has some basic organizing tools for video, like trimming and combining clips They work fine for TV playback via USB and on my gaming laptop - but neither helps my wife who wants to edit and post on Facebook for friends and family.Ĭan anyone recommend a user friendly program to edit the videos (trim them down in length, etc) and also convert them to smaller files? I have taken some great little family videos with my A6300 but the 4K movie files are so large and taxing in my wife's laptop she can't play them without significant judder.
